To train Goose Dogs takes skill and knowledge. We have 28 years of combined experience in training dogs to work with livestock. We both compete at the Open level of competition in sheep dog trials across the United States.

Mike is the 1999/2002 President of the United States Border Collie Handlers Association. This is the National Organization that sets the rules for the sheep dog trials across North America as well as sponsoring and running the National Finals.
Mike and Jan are respected members of the Border Collie Community.

Beware of someone that wants to sell a dog that they can't demonstrate the dog working either in person or on a tape. Poorly trained dogs can get very expensive if they won't get the job done. Ask what the dog can do. If problems develop, is follow-up support available?

We also have a program in place to correct problems in goose dogs that have been purchased from others. Or if requested, we can come to your site and train your employees in the art of goose control. All of our dogs come with a tape in which you will see the dog working and you can hear the commands that the dog knows such as: go to the right, go to the left, stop, get closer to the geese, get in the water and recall to the handler. Commands are by voice or whistle if needed, for airports or near highways where noise levels can be high.
